Our Mission

At NSK, we treat each and every child as competent and capable individuals. Through play, we help children develop socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively, while helping them learn about the world around them. Through our Reggio inspired program, we create a warm, inclusive, positive environment, one that promotes and fosters exploration and curiosity. Throughout the day, preschoolers will engage in circle time, learning stations, and indoor/outdoor play. We love being partners in their development and discoveries.

Meet Ches

Chesdean, or Ches as she is affectionately known has been working in after-school programs, toddler gym classes, camps, and everything in between for 5 years. A master of all things fun and the most cheerful face around, Chesdean is always laughing, always excited, and always ready to play. Her patience and calm attitude is unmatched, and she can turn any activity into a learning experience. She is dedicated to the education and growth of her little pre-schoolers, and makes every day a special one. Whether she’s making up new songs, teaching crafts, or dancing around the room, Chesdean is going above and beyond to make sure every child feels included and comfortable. Chesdean holds a BA in Sociology from York University and an ECE (Early Childhood Education) Diploma from George Brown College. She loves bringing her high energy and positivity to all kids at Nonsensical Society!

“NSK has been essential in helping my 3 year old get adjusted after the pandemic left her with pretty big deficits socially and emotionally. After months of being lock up at home and told not to get to close to anyone she developed big anxiety around strangers and had very limited experience playing with kids her age. For months, she would cry and/or scream at drop off but the staff NEVER gave up or made us feel bad about the difficulties. She now walks in barely looking back to say goodbye most days. She has transformed into a child that not only likes going to preschool but now asked to see Ches and Rick everyday! I owe so much to their preschool program. My daughter is a real example of their AMAZING ability to connect and foster a great learning experiences.”
